Inspiration for my current work comes from the landscape around me here in Devon and from my travels further afield. A love of the sea and seashore finds its way into most of my work, either with the colours used or the shape and form. A particular fascination with archaeology, from fossils to historical artifacts, also influences my current pieces. Surfaces can show erosion and fossil shapes from our Jurassic coastline but also traces of human habitation with patterns such as you may find walking along the shore picking up pieces of old, broken pottery.
